Take back our systems of communication from private sectors that only seek to profit off of unethical monetization of services beyond what it costs to serve them because somehow in cities where the people have built out their own internet there is fast affordable access-weird right?

It feels like we are waiting for better infrastructure on a 56k line or something.. Every citizen should-no matter where they are or live-have low latency and fast access to the internet.
With full citizen connectivity we can begin new exciting programs such as easy/secure online voting and policy proposals so we the people can steer our own democracy and have the full access to public discourse and protocall we deserve and need to address problems with our systems ourselves.
